Effective September 1, 2008 Corvid Computing will succeed long-time volunteer Bruce Paige as administrator of city-owned Internet Service Provider Gustavus Community Network (GCN). GCN subscribers should now call 697-2810 for all their Internet access questions and problems if they cannot find the answer on the GCN Service page. Corvid Computing will handle all customer service, billing, accounts receivable, and day-to-day operations for GCN but the community network remains dependent on volunteers for system administration and repairs when there are system failures. |

About UsCorvid Computing is a limited liability company named for the family of clever birds including ravens, crows, magpies, and jays. It was hatched in 2007 by Nathan Borson, Phoebe Vanselow, and Sean Neilson in Gustavus, Alaska. Together we have over a decade of experience in a wide range of technology and communication applications and user support. - Nathan Borson is known for his work as an IT Specialist at Glacier Bay National Park and as one of the founders and chief technician for the Gustavus Community Network.
- Phoebe Vanselow established a reputation for organization and customer service working as the Office Manager for the Gustavus Community Clinic. Her knack for technology was evident in her work doing coastal mapping for Glacier Bay National Park. You may see her in some of her other roles as a dispatcher at Air Excursions or working Inn Night at the Gustavus Inn.
- Sean Neilson is the owner of Sean Neilson Photography; you may have seen his images and writing in calendars, Alaska magazine, and other places. He has offered computer consulting in Gustavus for several years, and he built computer systems with local kids during his tenure running the Encore program.
